Flight Question How to have AutoFCS in Orbiter 2010 (Landing the Shuttle Fleet)

AutoFCS just deorbited and landed the G42-200 Starliner. When I popped the canards out in the HAC, it seemed to go a little weird. I was able to steer with the keypad and landed on the runway - it seemed that AutoFCS was trying, but the canards messed it up. Will need more experimenting with optimal canard deployment speed.

What's weird, is I've been trying these AFCS hint threads and nothing seemed to work. I gave up. Last night, I read this thread, tried again, and it worked. Maybe rebooting is required? Maybe it just needs to age in the bottle.

Has anyone tried the Jason with autoFCS ?

Unextractable zip file.

On an attachment you have my AutoFCS version. Backup and install it and replace all overwriting files (Config\Earth.cfg and Orbiter.cfg) or better, install it using JSGME.
After installed, and because your "orbiter.cfg" is replaced, you should re-configure your Orbiter or copy all the lines from your ancient Orbiter.cfg file below the "EchoAllParams" parameters into the new one. It works for me.
I also removed the Atlantis.dll module, because it CTD Orbiter.

EDIT: I have not viewed the Pipcard Message. It is all good now

Hey Solar. What did you use to make this zip file? I get an "unknown Method" error on all the files, when I try to extract with Winrar. Same error with Windows Explorer.

works fine in 7-Zip.

I used WinZip with Legacy Compression Method (I have the french version, s i don't think it is labelled like that)
I don't know why is it not working with WinRAR or Win Explorer. I had the same problem with More Sound before turning it into an *.exe file.

Anyway, test with 7-zip (excellent free and multi methdods compressions) or winZip.

Tried 7-Zip, get an unsupported compression warning, all files are extracted, but are blank.
:(
Which version of 7-Zip? PPMd compression, which is used by the archive, is supported by 7-Zip since version 9.11. And the latest version of 7-Zip you can currently get is 9.28.

BTW, using legacy compression method in WinZip should have selected Deflate, not PPMd method.

The one I used is 9.20 and as I said above it worked perfectly.

Ok. Winzip worked. I have enabled the Module in the Orbiter, but don't know what to do next. Anyone has the user documentation for this module?

So, uh, 4.65 is a bit old then? Updating now...

EDIT: Yep, unzipped fine. I wonder how I got such an old version?

4.65 was the last stable version before 9.04 beta came out in 2009 (there's a gap; there were no versions 5, 6, 7, 8). All the following versions until 9.20 (released Nov 2010) were beta, and people seeing word "beta" usually think that it will break their computers. So for a year and a half some people most probably haven't considered downloading something what has a "beta" suffix, but instead installed long obsolete and featureless version that carried the "stable" suffix. :P

While the comment about betas are true, sometimes it's idiots(guilty here) doing things, that screw up the computer.

OK, so now I've got this zipped in, it seems rather buggy for me.

E.g. with the standard DG, it made the whole vessel vibrate rather unnaturally, sometimes flipping the vessel round in a crazy loop-the-loop for half a second during one point of the reentry. With the XR2, it seemed to jam some RCS jets on even when turned off. Any ideas?
