Hi. I'd love to replace Mir and ISS with better looking ones. I know about this and [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2536"]this[/ame] but I can't figure out how to use them instead of the default ones. I also encounter problems with those addons because of some old addons which are not around anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW. I'm using orbiter100830 version with D3D9 client.

Both of Thorton's MIR and ISS 3.2 will work in Orbiter 2010. I've finished the MIR missions (again) a few weeks ago. And run the ISS mission on and off again because I can't seem to get enough time to run them all start-to-finish.

What specifically is giving you trouble? Post the scenario and/or the Orbiter log between the code tags and we'll see if we can get you rolling.

Both projects have their dependencies which can cause troubles, once we can identify them we can figure out a work-around for it.

Hi, thanks for the response. For one, I can't find this necessary addon: "SpaceLab module v3.0 (by Gandalf) - http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1896"

I don't actually have all the time to build those two stations from square one. Can I add them all built up using scenario editor?

For MIR, one of the last scenarios has the station 100% complete. You could use that as a baseline for your own custom scenario.

I initially had trouble with that spacelab also, but I don't think it's 100% a requirement. Only if you want a historical type mission with the Shuttle. But here it is...

Here are the individual forum threads on ISS and MIR. There is some good information to mined from them, and they may help you out with some of the "common" problems.

I have Proton LV 2.2. Could that be the problem about Mir? Because I can't run any of those scenarios except Core module in orbit and Kvant in orbit. Also, when I try to add ISSR/ISS to a scenario I get a CTD but log doesn't say anything.

OK, I remembered (and then found) this regarding MIR.
[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4555"]Mir v1.3 scenarios patch[/ame]
Thorton updated the scenarios to match his new and improved launcher, His Proton 2.2 should work even though this calles for 2.1. At least it worked for me...

For the ISS CTD, keep an eye on the splash screen where the text flashes by and try to home in on the last thing that it attempts to load (just before the CTD). I have had similar issues where I'm getting a CTD, but no help from the "clean" orbiter log.
