General Question How to return the mplm to the shuttle cargo bay from the space station?

i have been trying to return the mplm to the shuttle cargo bay from the space station. i can undockit with the shuttle arm and position it in the shuttle cargo bay but when i release the mplm from the arm it teliports back to being docked to the space station. the arest payload button isnt clickable and i dont have any way of telling the exact position of the mplm and how far into the payload bay it is and needs to be.

You said you undocked the MPLM using the shuttle arm...that sounds like your problem. It sounds like you're just pulling it away and it's trying to snap back; but that's just my guess.

I would recommend pressing F3, selecting the MPLM just like you would any spacecraft, and press CTRL+D to undock it; also, I think you can press "show grapple points" and red arrows will show in the cargo bay where the MPLM should be positioned; but I'm not positive.
