EncounterMFD how to use encounter MFD?

I just wanna to try EncounterMFD but I just don't get how it works..

is there a kind of tutorial, or can somebody explain it to me??

but isn't there anyone who can say how to use it?? normaly I have an anwser in like 5 to 10 minutes..

MAJ - Major body - e.g. the Sun of going to Mars, Earth if going to the moon
TGT - Target you are going for.

That's it ;-)

So, lets say you do an eject burn for Mars.
Set MAJ to Sun, TGT to MARS and Encounter MFD will give you some information on how close you get to Mars. It's a wonderful sanity check for checking after the ejection burn is complete.

if select a base on the target planet/moon in map mfd encounter will show you the distance, closest approach & more to the base
