hi there
just a question about a huge difference of BT in IMFD
i have tried to set a course from earth to mars with deepstar 2.1 and i found a very big BT (see image 01)
before trying to reduce this value with TEj and TIn adjustments, just for my personal curiosity, i have replaced deepstar with XR1 keeping the same orbital parameters and setting the same values for the above trip earth-mars...(see image 02)
...and my question is: it's "real" that huge difference between the two BTs? 10.17k for deepstar and 738.5 for XR1.
ok, these are very different spacecraft, in mass, weight, dimensions and so, but, 10.17k!!! in my opinion (quite a newbie opinion) it's a "wate of time", it discourage me to use deepstar...

Yes, makes sense, since the Deepstar has a very low acceleration - as you can see, the DV value is almost equal in both orbit-eject displays.

What surprises is is, that the XR1 has in the end a higher DV - in reality, I would expect the Deepstar to have a much higher DV because of the longer burn (which means more gravity losses)

thanks Urwumpe
but if i remember well, deepstar 2.0 was different from the 2.1 version, or i'm wrong?
it seems to me that for a similar orbit eject earth to mars BT was not so huge.
and also, i remember another deepstar 2.0 behavior: if i wanted to do a 360° rotation around, for example, the x axis, it take long time, not few seconds as for deepstar 2.1.

i can read that:
Hi, the new version of Deepstar disappeared to edits a mass, isp, etc., as i can get it back? )
The author removed the addon, as it had problems with the current Orbiter version. The current version cannot be edited, but the next should have that feature.
and its a pity...
