Hyperbolic Fiction is a blog I stared for publishing weekly sci-fi short stories.

Feel free to check out this link:

I might check back when there is a story to read. Please keep me updated.

Polar fiction however is quite acceptable.

Sinusoidal fiction is...hmm...It repeats but it never returns to the same (Euclidian) coordinates. What does that mean in a plot?

EDIT: Pun unintented.

A sine wave isn't a conic section, and thus can't be an orbit.

No major issues so far...

Seems to be a section missing after this bit:

An alarm signals the completion of the reactor start-up. I step back into the cockpit. I spend the next ten or so minutes turning on various systems such as: gravity manipulation, engines, and the navigation systems. Since the reactor is now

Also conversations for each character should begin on a separate line, otherwise it looks a bit rushed.

How far into the future is it?

One issue is that fiction written in the first person, for some reason, tends to be harder for me to read and feels a bit less "mature". That may just be a matter of personal preference though...

is omniscient 3rd person viewpoint better? Since this is a ship, log entries should be IMHO written first, and then expanded, possibly with viewpoint shifts along the way.

I find, both in reading and writing, that stories are best told from the point of the story teller.

I wanted the story closer to the main character.

I got one question. Are you writing "Cherenkov" with that fancy 'Č' on purpose or it's only small spelling mistake? If it's intended cause it's describing some different type of radiation then ok, but if it's because of error then I suggest to correct it so it won't be confusing to anyone.:tiphat:

I'm checking out the blog in a minute, but I looked up "Cherenkov radiation" (because I didn't know what it was), and I saw Wikipedia has both spellings "Cherenkov" and "Čherenkov".

Черенков, Čerenkov, Cherenkov.

Aren't they all the same word(name) just different romanizations?

I looked up little closer and seems like I was wrong and you're right, both version are correct(at least accordingly to wiki), sorry my mistake.
I noticed it because this fancy Č is characteristic for some Slavic languages and is spelled quite differently then Russian Ч(AFAIR from Russian language classes), the "Ch" version is much closer.
Consider my question never asked.
