my first EVER interplanetary trip!
mars to venus with flytandems tutorial scenario and i dd it with 1% fuel to spare, WHOOP!
im so proud!
:)

oh yeah and i also have a question for Transx but i dont no if i should post it here:

when planning interplanetary travel, how do you decide the launch date, whenever i get into space with out help from a special scenario, i can never get the two yellow dashed lines to meet, guessing this has somthing to do with tming?

thanks

Congratulations on the trip ! interplanetary trips are quite hard to do at first

Apart from getting the dates from somewhere/someone, you get them by fishing for them. Put in a slightly larger dV than required and modify the date. You should be able to see planets orbiting the sun and spot good launch windows fairly easily.

As I understand it, this is what flytandem does 8 hours a day. With highly complicated slingshot scenarios of course :P

And congratulations on your trip! The first one is the hardest.

Happy Orbiting

Does Flytandem work in the GN&C field?

Now try it in real time.

Now try it in real time.

After that, try a real time trip from Earth to Pluto! lol

Seriously now... Congrats!

(In Goodfellas terms) you just "popped your (interplanetary) cherry" lmao!

Congrats on the flight. I'm still at the "Yahoo!!! I made it into orbit without the ship falling apart! I don't care if the orbit looks like an egg I made it!" stage personally.

That being said, if you need any help at all with Orbiter please feel free to PM me or anyone else willing Bendarr :).

Gosh, I decided to head to Pluto for funzies, and it's taking ages even with time acceleration, and I started from Titan. I just have been watching the olympics and check up on orbiter every now and then.

Congratulations man. :salute:

I remember my first interplanetary flight, it was from earth to Jupiter, i used TransX.
