I thought of an idea for interstellar travel make it so when you get say 300 au from the sun you get a pop up asking which star are you going to and you have to be going in that basic direction then it teleports you 300 au away from that star and advances time a few thousands years

well this way it would make interstellar travel more realistic and plausible in orbiter

If you're patient enough to wait another six months or so, you'll have all the interstellar travel you could wish for:

yeah but this is just an idea to fix the long waits at max time acceleration for arrival at the new star

What to do, when you get there ?

Same thing you'd do in our solar system- Fly around, land, dock, kill UMMUs, etc.
