Using a browser has about as much to do with intelligence as Elephants have to do with space travel.
I'm not too sure about ClearType, but I'm definitely not in basic mode, Aero is clearly on as my windows and taskbar are transparent. :thumbup:It's possible you have ClearType already turned off, and are already running in Basic mode?
Strange. You're definitely running ORbiter.exe (and not Orbiter_ng.exe) with the default rendering engine? That dumps me back to basic mode. I'm running 64-bit, though I don't know whether that makes any difference.I'm not too sure about ClearType, but I'm definitely not in basic mode, Aero is clearly on as my windows and taskbar are transparent.
Yes I definitely am, and it must not make any difference since I too am using 64-bit.Strange. You're definitely running ORbiter.exe (and not Orbiter_ng.exe) with the default rendering engine? Does it perhaps dump you into Basic when you actually launch a scenario, but not when you open the launchpad?Yes I definitely am, and it must not make any difference since I too am using 64-bit.
No, it doesn't do so at all, at least for me...Does it perhaps dump you into Basic when you actually launch a scenario, but not when you open the launchpad?
I think the disable-desktop-composition compat shim might not pick up on the DirectX nature of the program until the scenario is started...
