Hi, first time when I'm posting on this forums. :D

Sometimes when I try (because it's not working properly anyway) to use IMFD 5.1 i get a send/don't send error from orbiter. When i try to load Simple-Freereturn-Go scenary that comes with IMFD, it's loading, i can see the ship cockpit with MFDs and everything for a few seconds and after that i get the send/don't send error again.

I said IMFD is not working properly on my PC because when i'm looking at the map (the one from IMFD) i can't see my orbit, i can see only a green line coming from the center of the planet that i'm orbiting and passing trough my ship. Also if i connect 2 MFDs and I have a plan on course program from IMFD on one MFD and I use the plan button in the map program from the other MFD, I get only one blue line that is overlaping the green line that I mentioned before.

The green line

PS: I tried to use IMFD on orbiter version 060929 with addons and without addons, also I tried it only with the sound and DGIV addons and I get the same send/don't send error. I tried to use IFMD 5.0 and 4.2.1 and i don't get the send/don't send error, but I have the problem with the orbit and plan not showing on the map program in them too.

Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.

IMFD 5.1 was released over a year ago and this is the first time when something like this is reported, so, this can't be very common problem.

It looks like the map program has failed to compute a trajectory. But why I have no idea. Based on your report it sounds like this will happen everytime when you use IMFD.

Do you have windows XP or VISTA ?

Yeah, it's happening every time i use it, only when i load the Simple-Freereturn-Go scenary i can see the plan on the map for a few seconds before i get the send/don't send error. I'm using windows xp with sp3 (this might be the problem?).

That G field in the Orbit MFD screen is wrong. If you are in Earth orbit the G field should be 1.00 and not 0.00. I've seen this when there is a problem with one of the DLL's that Orbiter needs. I think it's MFC42.DLL

Only with Simple-Freereturn-Go scenary, that's important piece of information. There must be something wrong in the scenario and the problem is not as bad as I first thought.

No, I can see the plan on the map only in that scenario, in any other scenario i can't get the plan on the map, but only a blue line overlaping the green one.

Thank you for the tip with the dll, i'll try it.

I got a new MFC42.DLL and put it in the orbiter folder and replaced the one from system32 too, but it didn't solved the problem. Anyway, that 0G seems to be the problem, so any other idea?

My mistake - These are the two dll's you want in your Orbiter directory:
msvcp81 and msvcr81

You could make another installation of Orbiter in new location. Just the base installation, no addons, and see if that works.

I put the msvcp71 and msvcr71 dlls (not the 81 ones) in the game folder and now it's working fine. Thank you for the help guys, now i can finally enjoy this simulator.
