In Canada, milk comes in bags.

Yup. Humans are the only animals that drink the milk of other animals, in their adult state.

Cats seem very happy with cow milk, as long it is not served cold. :P

In fact, the less human intervention there is in the milk chain, the happier they are

We're forgetting astronauts. Everything they drink comes in a bag. :tiphat:

Yeah, I was thinking to that. In space, everything comes in bags.

And what, only 0.0025% of humanity builds moon rockets? :P

We now even have fruit juice in huge 5l-10l bags that are supported by a cardboard box and have a proper tap on them...

And some companies already produce and sell special supports for these.

Wow, german engineering !

Heres another

I believe astronauts/cosmonauts use those on the ISS (or was it Mir?).

And what about ants and aphids? I know it's not exactly milk though

Hmm... good point, but as far as I know, honeydew is not intended to be used as nourishment for young aphids, it is just a waste product.

Can one bag a bag? And in this case, would we have a bag in a bag?

Well if you go to a bag shop and buy a bag they will offer to put it in a bag. Always amuses the hell out of me.

Second hand Australian engineering. We invented wine in boxes - the infamous chateau de cardboard.

Oh yes, bagged milk. I think they emerged here in the 90's, while the milk bottles were losing ground and before the boxes emerged. There was a time frame when bagged milk was the main way to buy milk. It's still the cheapest milk around, but the boxes are the most popular, especially the ones with screw caps. Also, I haven't seen powdered milk for some time. Maybe they only give it to infants or something.
Edit...about the apple juice in that big box with tap, believe it or not, but I think it's the cheapest per litre here. Also, here they have some cheap apple juice in boxes which has a big 100% slapped on it (without saying if it's 100% natural juice or what), and when you look at the ingredients, you see that "real" apple juice is only a tiny fraction, the rest being all kinds of other stuff

Something I often think of when I go into the fridge... Is this type of bottle for milk that common in other countries? Most milk comes in these badboys: (the milk goes through the handle too, which results in serious frozen fingers if you forget to take your own bag to Lidl..)
