In Canada, milk comes in bags.

Never seen those here, here Tetrapaks are more common for milk, only some "premium" sellers produce glass bottles for looking more expensive.

Those are made from a textured frosted plastic. Not as substantial as the clear plastic bottles soft drinks come in.

Its not uncommon to come home and realise that your bottle has been pierced inside your polythene bag and has left a trail of milk following you home! Not to mention the rest of your messages (or groceries for those who don't know what i mean) being covered in milk!

Something I often think of when I go into the fridge... Is this type of bottle for milk that common in other countries? Most milk comes in these badboys: (the milk goes through the handle too, which results in serious frozen fingers if you forget to take your own bag to Lidl..)

Those look very similar in construction and style to the ones here in the US.

I buy all my milk in one gallon HDPE containers.

I'm so used to cutting the corners off a new bag of milk it's hard to believe people elsewhere think it's strange!

I always thought paper cartons were a luxury, because they're more expensive by unit volume of milk than bags, and they're so comparatively easy to use and dispose of. :P
