What patch are you talking about?

Just go to this page, download ORBITER 2010-P1 (orbiter100830.zip), unzip it into a newly created folder, and you're all set. It is the latest version, no patches required.
(You'll need something like 7-zip to unzip it, just google it and download it, it's free)

I'm guessing you want to install Orbiter 2010-P1 (100830) patch over Orbiter 2010 (100606). Or is it some later beta patch which you want to install over Orbiter 100830?

For Orbiter 2010-P1 (100830) there have been full downloads of it since September 2010, so if you have that, you don't need to install a P1 patch over it, but if you have Orbiter 2010 you downloaded before September, you need 7-Zip you can download from here or any other that can extract 7z archives. Then if you can extract files from the patch file, you extract them to the folder where you put Orbiter 2010. Similarly you proceed if you want to install a beta patch (100905, 101016) over Orbiter 2010-P1 (100830).

yes sir. i have Orbiter100830.msi i think i tried the zip file for it once and goofed it up totaly:lol: thats when i started useing the msi. cause it's self installing. and the name of the patch i have downloaded is orbiter100830-100606diff.7z im starting to wonder if thats what causeing the touchy controls?

You don't need to install the patch in this case. You already have fully patched Orbiter 2010-P1. The orbiter100830-100606diff.7z patch is for older version of Orbiter 2010 from June to make it patched to the version from August 30th you already have.

Installing that patch over the Orbiter 2010-P1 shouldn't break anything, as it contains only the files that were updated and they are the same as there already are in Orbiter 2010-P1 (100830) you have had before applying the patch.

:thankyou: thats all i needed. have a good day sir. :hello:
