This may be the wrong forum, sorry if it is...

Just had an awesome day at the Science Museum in London, it's amazing seeing famous stuff like Stephenson's rocket, Spitfires, V2s (boy those things were big)...

Anyway, they've got the last Black Arrow rocket there, and I spotted something rather odd:

It looks very like a Red Star (i.e. USSR)... What on Earth?!?!
(Perhaps this is why GB gave up on rockets, what with the Cold War and all...)

Any ideas?

I've seen similar markings on some panels of the London Underground trains. I've always understood them to mean, "Beware! Sensitive Equipment behind this Panel" - so be careful where you stick your can opener! :)

Or someone stuck it there as a joke :P

Just because it's a red star, doesn't mean it's communist.

Or else Macy's* is communist!

Quite like to do Black Arrow, whenever I get the Blue Streak series finished!

Good prog on UK CH4 some time ago about it:

Saw that program, not that long ago either. Interesting that they got shut down despite their last minute success. I guess those people in the higher ups didn't think it was worth wasting their time and money on.

It looks like one of the stickers my daughter frequently affixes to me while I'm half asleep of a morning. >.>
