Hi. I was thinking about starting a real time thing, but I'm not sure how it'd work out. So the question is as follows

If I launch a vessel (DGIV or such) into a trajectory towards mars is it possible to some time later (day or two) to launch another DGIV or such into LEO and safely use time acceleration (X10-X100) and dock with ISS without it messing up the plane on route to mars?

And what about the realtime scenarios (without the time set on the .scn file) is the mars plane closer to mars or at the same place I left it if I open the scenario a week or two later. Or am I going to have to keep orbiter open the whole freaking time?

What I really am thinking is that I'd launch a DGIV to the moon at the next window and fly shorter flights while it's on route there so I don't get bored. Or should I just stick with one plane and mission at a time?

I hope one of you guys understands what I'm trying to ask. With this hangover going on at the moment even I'm not sure what I mean.

You can safely do that.
Just keep in mind that you might need to do course correction maneuvers on the way. And of course not to let the traveling ship crash into a planet :P

Yeah, I sort of thought about doing a few course corrections on the way :) Allthough crashing into a planet wouldn't make my death count that much bigger I've been working on my landing by doing suborbital flights with DGIV and in the past three days I've killed 25 people I seriously need to remove the passengers prior to trying something.. next stop re-entry.

i've done this.. it's fun! launch one ship, send it ona course to Mars, then launch a second ship, and try to arrive at the same time. The DGIV's antenna makes it easy and fun to track the other ship.
