Updates ISS ATV-4 "Albert Einstein" & ATV-5 "Georges Lemaître" flights

NASA: ATV-4 Ready for Monday Undocking:
The Expedition 37 crew is getting Europe’s “Albert Einstein” Automated Transfer Vehicle-4 (ATV-4) ready for its undocking. The ATV-4 has been filled with trash and its hatches have been closed. European Space Agency mission controllers will deorbit the ATV-4 over the Pacific Ocean.

The ATV-4 delivered more than 7 tons of food, fuel and supplies on June 15. It’s undocking is scheduled for 4:59 a.m. EDT Monday. NASA Television will cover the event live beginning at 4:45 a.m.

ATV-4 undocking in less than 10 minutes - coverage already on NASA TV.

Goodbye X-fighter! (still feeling strange to think that there's just one more ATV left!)

ATV-5 Georges Lemaître updates

Well with only a week to go before the final ATV set sails (was to be in 3 days, but there was a delay due to problems with filling the Ariane 5 rocket's upper stage), it's time to bump this thread! :hailprobe:

To start with, follow the latest news on ATV-5 Georges Lemaître here: http://blogs.esa.int/atv/

And a piece of news about what will happen next January when the ATV goes into history:
ATV’s fiery break-up to be seen from inside

As ESA’s remaining supply ferry to the International Space Station burns up in the atmosphere, its final moments as its hull disintegrates will be recorded from the inside by a unique infrared camera.

An ESA-led team designed and developed the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Break-Up Camera in just nine months in order to make it on board in time.

Working at breakneck pace, the team designed, built and tested both the camera and the Reentry SatCom capsule to work like an aircraft-style ’black box’ to store images, then transmit them to Earth after the vessel’s break-up via an Iridium satellite link.

ESA’s BUC camera will join Japan’s i-Ball optical camera and NASA’s Re-entry Break-up Recorder to give as full a picture as possible of the conditions inside the vehicle as it breaks up.

Pictures and videos coming soon...... :tiphat:

Oh and ATV-5 is currently scheduled to launch on July 29 at 23:44 UTC. ;)

Slightly refined to 23:47:38 UTC. ;)

Travelling aboard makes writing difficult, but before launch I will finish up a report on the mission of the last ATV and also a retrospect on the program. :tiphat:

The end for the ISS' "X-fighter" program is finally in sight as the last of the breed is about to depart from Earth, under the name of the founder of the expanding universe theory. So what is the flight plan for the large cargo transporter? :tiphat:

Apparently, it launched.

You can see by the lack of updates that I was on holiday for the past week.
