Problem Joystick problem with MacOS and Wineskin

OK, here’s a strange one. I’ve got Orbiter-ng running great on High Sierra Under wineskin, with DX9 and Orbiter sound (I used guidance I found on this forum). I’ve even managed to install the Ravenstar craft. But whenever I plug in my joystick, the view cockpit view climbs up and to the left, and then stays there, as if I’m constantly pressing up+left on the joystick hat, even though I’m not. I end up looking at the sun whilst on the runway instead of straight ahead. I can recenter the view by pressing down and right on the hat but when I release, it just climbs back up again. So I can’t use the joystick. Outside of Orbiter, it all works fine on other Mac software. And it’s Also fine on my windows PC as well, so the actual joystick is OK. It must be a configuration problem, or maybe a Wine bug. I’ve Googled quite a bit but not found anything about this specific problem. I know Orbiter under Wine on a Mac is a bit niche, but I’d be grateful if anyone has got any ideas or suggestions. Thanks, Jon.
