As I'm trying to land, LandMFD tells me I need to select a base in the Map MFD, but I already have selected one (Olympus in my particular case). What am I missing?
Many thanks,
Peter

I'm not familiar with the MFD, but does it need to be an Earth base?

Maybe you have to select the MFD LandMFD before selecting a base in Map MFD ?
Can you paste the link please ?

I swear by the Probe I was doing that before :hailprobe:
Well it worked this time, thank you for that tip. But now it says
"Dist offplane 14368.6"
and none of the buttons have any options, and hitting Shift+0(zero) as I've seen in the instructions does nothing. What have I missed this time?
Thanks again for your help.

LandMFD was released on July of 2005 and worked with the previous release of Orbiter (2006P1). It does not work with the current version (2010P1).

The successor of LandMFD was the LOLA MFD (LaunchOrLAnd) by the same author (Dr.Dennis "LazyD" Hare). Unfortunately LazyD died in 2007 but his work on LOLA MFD has been continued by other addon developers. Make a search for LOLA on O-H and you will find a version that works with Orbiter 2010.

Here is a small snipet of an anonymous comment on FlyingSinger's blog (the author of GoPlayInSpace), as a tribute to LazyD.

I always loved the thought of Dennis - who took his Ph.D. Oral Qualifying Examination wearing a Mickey Mouse T shirt - being so successful and living life on his own terms. I am glad that he found other outlets for his computing genius, and am terribly saddened that his life ended so early.

Aha, thank you. Again, I figured there was a reason why it wasn't working. :tiphat:

You can also try HoverMFD is you want to descend to the base after aligning to the base with BaseSyncMFD
