I have the Jupiter V-X, and it's really fun to launch. Its integration of shuttle technology is clever, and its size is really impressive. However, I always like to go overboard with things like that, and I'm wondering if someone's made an even larger launch vehicle, using realistic staging etc. I'm talking something that could launch something maybe Deepstar size. Does such a beast exist?

Would this fulfil your requirements? ;)

Also, welcome to the forums! :welcome:

Nova SSTO is a large 1000-ton launcher based on a real design. It's over on sourceforge somewhere, follow my link to my addons; it's in the description text.

Only thing is, it's SSTO so aside from fairing jettison there's no staging. But it hella powerful.

I'd love to break deepstar up into 10 or so large chunks, launch and assemble on orbit. It'd be fun

I've used the Jupiter-X launcher - awesome addon and would be ideal for this task.

I agree, on-orbit Deepstar construction would be fun. I thought there was an addon for that, but I can't find it, so I'm going to assume I was mistaken.

I love the Hercules. It's got the muscle to put pretty much ANYTHING in LEO. :P

You could also try the [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3497"]Convair Nexus[/ame] by Sputnik.

The Hercules is awesome though. It's like the Chuck Norris of heavy lift.
