Looks like he surprised us all again this way... his new release Blackstar was just a few days ago.

The man who fell on earth

I remember reading "The man who fell on earth" long before I knew a movie was made from the book. At some point there's a physical description of the alien Thomas Newton... I immediately thought "hey, that's David Bowie!".

Hello. I haven´t words to say how I feel now. I think that David Bowie is one of the biggest musician of modern music of the twenty century. Space Oddity, ZyggyStardust, LadyStardust, Starman, Life on Mars, Heroes.... and many and many songs more that I could travel in deep space without a real spacecraft. I think that with David Bowie finish the twenty century and finish the most beautiful of the twenty century. I really am sorry, thanks for your music. David Bowie, you are the heroe, have a nice trip to the galaxy.
 
In case somebody has nothing better to do right now, the French-German TV station arte is airing the movie "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" ("Furyo" in most European languages), in which David Bowie starred.
 
Good film, and title music, if I'm thinking of the right one. WWII Japanese prison camp, Tom Conti?
