I tried to run a rendezvous with the soyuz to the ISS last night, but the Relative inclination was too high, I think almost 5 degrees. I launched (using the autopilot) as soon as the scenario ("Mission TMA-10 to ISS) started at an azimuth of around 60. I couldn't dock because we weren't really in plane. How do I do this?

Until what? Until the Rel. Inc is about 30?

Open up map mfd in ode display, set it to show orbital plane instead of groundtrack and wait until the plane crosses your location. All autopilots have seen launch northeast, so wait until the NE portion of the plane is above you.

The scenario starts like that, but the problem is that I need to launch at a specific azimuth, because if I don't the planes are so different that I don't have enough fuel to match speeds and fly the approach.

So why not wait until the ISS is over the launch site and launch in plane at the right azimuth?

I'm failing to see what the issue is here except one of you not launching correctly.

Exactly. It's just so dang difficult to find the right azimuth at the right time.

Thanks, I'll try it. I suppose I should install the soyuz addons into 2010, too.

I just installed the soyuz into 2010, but when I press "J" the second time after launch, instead of getting a capsule, I just get nothing.
Edit: also, whenever something jettisons, it just disappears. I have a feeling that these two issues are tied.

I guess you are using the Soyuz-TMA from the francophone site. That Soyuz-TMA does not seem to work with 2010. The one which comes with ISS works OK. There is a name conflict between those versions (both use soyuz-tma.dll IIRC), so be a little careful when installing it.

Which ISS addon?

Ok, I installed ISS 3.2, but I get a CTD for some scenarios.

do you have the shuttle fleet installed?
Yes.

I have also realized that most of the scenarios work, but a few give CTDs. I need to go back and check which ones. However, I believe that they were insignificant ones, so this problem is officially solved.

Thanks everyone!
