Level 8 texture for planet Neptune.
I combined data from Nasa with some fictionals to enhance details.

Changes to your Neptune.cfg file:

; === Data for the Visual ===
MaxPatchResolution = 8         ; highest sphere patch level

This looks good, I'll have to try them out. I'm not sure I can get used to the big dark spot though!

Why do you need fictional details for a real planet?

Because the images we got from the probe are not so detailed... i simply added random clouds and surface vortex to real data, primarly to give to the planet a good and (supposedly) realistic appearence on low orbit.

Our work is fantastic but the most impressive
is that you develop new addons was only seven years later!:lol:

Sorry I'm using the translator

I like the new look, thanks! The outer planets were in dire need of better textures. :)

As far as fictional details go, these are atmospheric details. They are changing from moment to moment. And what we saw with the Voyagers is undoubtedly different than what we would see today, or even hours after their flyby. Or even with different camera equipment.

Fictional details for atmospheres are fine, as long as they remain (in the style of) details and variations on the planet's overall "theme". We're not going to put a great dark spot on mars, for example. But we can sure put a dust storm there, big or small.

I mean these still seem like "Uranus" & "Neptune", perhaps more so!

So in that respect these are fine and welcome textures.

Thank you Christiano :)

Both of your new textures are very good and I have added them to my collection.

Your addition of the belt jets not only give more definition to these worlds visually, but are probably in fact the way it is out there.

With higher resolution instruments to see farther in depth, I am sure these belt jets would stand out.

And it works well, I like this texture and the Uranus one a lot. Thank you!

Thanks Rich. I agree with you. I tried to interpret what they would appear at close range, assuming that those smaller vortices and belts would be visible, although less than Jupiter and Saturn.

Cristiano, I apologize for the not-so-snide remark. Will download your textures, since Izack's closeup photos were pretty convincing.

Some nice effects could be added to Jupiter! This could be amazing!!!!

Long time, no see.

Good work. I like it.
