Lights for spacecraft on the dark side?

If I was in real life I would like to dock during daylight because I think it could be dangerous to rely on instruments only for docking.

Instruments such as the laser range finder are more accurate than the human eye. Relying on eye and human perseption is more dangerous than using instruments.

CameraMFD works really great. You can view the action from the viewpoint of any nearby spacecraft. It also has night vision capability.
