hello guys. been playing orbiter for a very long time. now im stepping upto creating addons. any starting points?? thanks!! also i team would be nice so i could work with??!!
Kind of depends on what you want to make. I suggest to start on the bottom of the tutorial page. There you can read a couple of useful tutorials for the basics
So far this seems to be the lion's share of the meat with respect to getting started with add-on development. There's also a lot of golden "snippets" throughout the forum that aren't immediately relevant to what I'm hoping to do.
I have coding experience in C, C++, JAVA, Assembly, Visual Basic, and some Python which includes structured as well as OOD. But I'm new to Orbiter and 3D modeling.
To remedy my deficiencies I'm working with av8tor and uvmapper, reviewing vectors, matrices, and any additional math I encounter as I progress. While earning my degree I was a tutor in our computer lab so I would invite anyone who might need help with something to contact me even though self discovery is the richest experience.
