Advanced Question Making the HUD smaller?

I'm finding the HUD to be much larger than I think it should be, and the fact that it rides over the panels is annoying. Is there a way to make the entire thing smaller and centered on the screen? If there is documentation on how to do this, please provide a link. Or, if there is an addon that already does this, please provide a link to that. I did search, but couldn't find anything like what I was looking for.

I have a similar problem. When I play in standard resolutions it's mostly OK, but when I play it on two displays, the HUD lines and text is way too big

Et voilà!
CTRL-H to switch the real HUD off, and an external (resizable) Surface MFD right in the middle of the screen.

More seriously, I don't think it's possible.
You could file a request on the appropriate subforum though, maybe Martin can implement it in the future.
