I'm having a problem using Urwumpe's mesh plug-in to make a mesh from an Anim8or model. It's omitting some of my materials for some reason.

I have quite a few materials, so I was wondering if anyone is aware of a limit to the number of materials a mesh may have? Urwumpe's tool has never failed, so I think it can be ruled out for the first pass.

I'm not aware of a material limit per se with the msh format, however it may be that the .msh converter does have a limit. I use AC3D for modelling and the .msh exporter is limited to one material per object in the mesh. I don't seem to have a limit to how many objects, each with their own material, however, but each object can only have one material.

maybe something like that.... ? Just a thought.

Maybe not a maximum, but it is possible that the materials are ignored, I remember something in the past, about materials not being used, was related to the name. Also, the script does only export materials which are actually used.

Yes, it is ignoring one of my materials. Since it's not critical, I just deleted the material and soldiered on. Unfortunately my new problem is that I can't seem to get Mesh Wizard to work in Vista 64-bit...topic for a different thread I started last night.
