Hi
Before I go play orbiter I play fsx. Well anyone who every played fs game should
know what roll the weather play in whole fly.My idea is sim the weather, not only earth but other planet or moon have weather. Also if I am right the rocket lanch have to do with the weather condition.

Wheather Sim is in the works, as far as I know (at least wind). The moon doesn't have any atmosphere, so there is indeed no wheather at all.

There is a method of getting the nebo fog to work in Orbiter '10, but I'm not sure how to do it. [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3199"]Nebo - Fog module 080102[/ame]

And there is this, but not sure if it works in Orbiter '10... Maybe worth a try? [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2258"]WeatherMFD 3.1[/ame]

The beta has some wind/atmo effects, looks pretty cool so far.

Need solar flares! Space weather.

"Solar flare detected. Please fire up the super conducting magnetosphere for high-energy-proton deflection."

Solar weather wouldn't be hard to create with a plugin (the magnetic effects and so on) but it's hard to cause this to have any affect on vessels you don't have the source code for or can access via an API. So, there might well be interference around you, but the vessel itself will remain blissfully unaware that it exists, much less jam your equipment or something equally appropriate.

I personally am looking forward to something like this in orbiter

I suppose you could trash the MFDs and HUD - they're vessel independent. Effects on UMMU would be good too. So, yeah, +1 to space weather...

Possible, but you're still approaching a similar issue. How are you thinking of 'trashing' them?

It sounds simple, but programatically it's hard to achieve without access to the vessel (to scramble the dis-lays in the cockpits) and/or the MFDs (to scramble display within the actual MFD, especially for the glass cockpit). It is perhaps possible to just kill them every time they are opened (after checks establish a certain interference quotient) though.

Scrambling the HUD would be fun to try, too...

I think I tried Weather MFD and it wasnt great. The core concept was good, but all it did for weather was to paint white splotches on the windows of the DG.

Orbiter is a space flight simulator. I think Tgeb weather is not as important as some other issues

The effect on the atmosphere models would be a bit hard, but can be solved.
