Idea Mercury and Gemini add-on improvements

I do realize I have to credit the right person, but I don't have Photoshop. I just want to change the lettering and the American flag to the roundel of the USAF. It takes Photoshop to do that? I do have Microsoft Paint.

Astronautix has some notes on a proposal to use Scout upper stages as rendezvous targets for Mercury capsules. Not sure how this would have worked out in practice.

Manned Orbital Rendezvous and Docking (MORAD)

Perhaps, the Scout payload would have been manually brought in by Cape Control. Or, they could have done what the Russians did with Vostok 5 and Vostok 6: place the 2 in the same exact orbit and let the 2 spacecraft drift naturally together and apart again.

Gemini EVA bug

I don't know if this was already posted but I found a bug when I make an EVA in the gemini addon.
When I open the pilot door all looks nice, but when I press E for EVA. The pilot appears but the door is now closed. And pilot is now in the door.
When I want to reopen the door the door opens to the wrong/opposite side.

EDIT:And when I end EVA the pilot is seated behind the cockpit.

Any way to fix this?

What I usually do is zoom way out and zoom back in. When you press E again, do the same.

Oh, by the way, what Gemini texture would I edit to change the texture to this:

Would that be the part that says "United States" with the American flag? That's all I want to edit.

I noticed that when you make a quicksave of relaunch the scenario with current state the door opens in the right direction again.

That realy works with zooming out when pressing E. The door then opens correctly.

Yes, most likely. But I will awit your answer. By the way, for anyone monitoring, I tried editing the Gemini texture with no such luck with either Photoshop or Paint. I guess because it's in a .dds file. Anyone know a solution to this?

If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements use the Nvidia dds plugin and edit and save it that way. If not use DDS Converter 2 (Google It) and convert the DDS to a BMP, edit it with your editor, save it and convert it back to DDS.
 
You maybe using the wrong file, try gemcap.dds
