now before I go through the long and tedious process of finding out what the cause is, does anyone recognize an obvious conflict between the following modules I try to use together? they all work, except the burntime mfd. it simply doesn't show up in the list, when I want to select it in the mfd screen during the game. It used to work, but not anymore.

AeroBrakeMFD
BurnTimeMFD
enc
LaunchMFD
LolaMFD
Map3DMFD
NoseWheelTurn
OrbiterSound
orbSonicBoom
orbSpotLight
ScnEditor
transx
UMMUFA
MeshLand_2
AbsoluteKillrot
LagrangeMFD
InterMFD53
orbHoverDust
CustomMFD
RendezvousMFD
BaseSyncMFD

No idea, but you've got 21 addons there, so it may be that orbiter only permits 20? BTC may be the last one you added (or the last one selected by orbiter for any reason). Try removing a random one.

What is enc?

encounter mfd.. like the last stage of transx, but more accurate.. for orbit insertion.

I've tried it with less modules, and I've also put it higher up the list, but that doesn't seem to matter. I've had more than 30 active modules in the past, they all loaded without problems. Orbiter doesn't seem limited to 20.

In which case I'd suggest doing a binary search to determine which module has a conflict with BTC. Remove half of the modules, if BTC comes back, you know the conflict is with one of the removed ones. If not, it's with one of the non-removed modules. Repeat the steps with that smaller set until you determine which module is causing the conflict.

It may be because the two modules have the same hot-key to activate them. I'd always wondered what would happen if you activate two modules with the same hot-key. It may be that one is just ignored.

What's CustomMFD? If it's something you made with the code borrowed from BTC, then it may cause orbiter to get confused if it uses the same identifier. Just a guess.

nevrmind.. I tried loading only burntime mfd. it's not a conflict. i messed up something else in orbiter. going for full re-install. I had some dependent stuff installed for things I didn't use anymore. Re-installing with paying close attention has work the best for me in the past.

Custom MFD is an MFD which comes with the base installation of Orbiter. It graphs various bits of information about the ascent profile you are currently flying. I'm not sure if it permanently records anything as I've almost never used it.

hey I found the problem! I had updated my burntimeMFD to 1.50. After changing back to the 1.42 version everything works! 27 mfds, no problems!

Chris Jeppesen developed this. Does he hang around here? Maybe he should be informed?
