News Michael Bay to shoot "Transformers 3" at the Cape

Oh my... the legacy of the Cape is going to be a Micheal Bay movie, Transformers no less.

Btw, the Cape can make enough money by selling Shuttle merchendise to young children. If the children of today are as fanatical as I was...

Shuttle merchandise isn't going to keep them afloat. There won't be much interest there since the Shuttle is retiring. Most tourists are from Orlando. Who is going to make a 45 minute drive to see relics of the past (referring to the average American, not me :P).

As I said, if the children of today are as fanatical as I was...

Beside, Apollo is a relic of the past is it not? Yet it has been featured on the US dollar coin...

We don't have much on Apollo other than the Saturn V Center, which is actually a building next to the VAB. And it doesn't exactly mean anything to the general public.

If he blows up another shuttle I'm going to be ticked..

He already screwed over Atlantis..

Or if he uses fake backdrops in the non-KSC aeras I'm going to be P.O.'ed. All I can really ask for is that he preserves the Cape the way it is. But I guess we won't find out until we see it...

Great, one of the last Shuttle launches will be commemorated by a crappy Michael Bay movie.

EDIT:

wait... there's going to be ANOTHER Transformers movie? Oh noes...

Well, quantity does have a quality all of it's own...

Unfortunately that does not work with films.

EDIT: This could really help the Cape get some attention since there's no Shuttle or Constellation program now. They REALLY need the money.

Isn't there a law preventing NASA from making money from things? Doesn't the money go to the US treasury instead?

Some people (like Michael Bay) never know when to quit...

I get the feeling it's going to involve the shuttle turning into a robot during launch or something like that.

Oh god no, I could not possibly stomach such nonsense...

The simple solution here is to not eat the film.

As to our eyes burning out upon viewing, there's not much we can do about that aside from killing all curiosity and skipping the movie.

I don't know about the law, but I said the Cape, not neccessarily NASA. What I mean by that is the communities of the Cape (i.e. Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Titusville, etc.).

I mean seriously, Shuttletron? What, Discoverytron or Endeavourtron? Atlantistron?

The thought hurts my mind...
