Gaming Minecraft screenshots

I'm thinking of buying a new computer, so which is better for Minecraft, Windows 7 or XP?
There's no difference directly, but I'd recommend getting a good 64-bit CPU and at least 4GB of memory, for which you'd be best off with Win7. The 32-bit version of Java is apparently limited to only a bit more than a gig of memory, which can cause crashes in minecraft on higher settings.

The 64-bit version of XP isn't as stable as Win7 64-bit. Just make sure you get the 64-bit version of Java and you'll be fine.

This is my minecraft home. A little endeavour I ventured into using minecraft. A nice mansion. (Forgive the ugly, no trunk trees.)

Hmmmmmmmmmm...............

Can someone help me with this? I have a, well a bad computer. I installed a texture pack wich was 64x64. It looks really good but something strange happened.

It lagged less than the default texture pack!

Here is 2 images in the same spot:

Can someone explain this to me??

Looks like you have a wider field-of-view on the default shot. I bet if you narrowed that down you'd get better FPS/less lag on the default textures.

My :2cents:

Does anyone here think i should buy this game using my own money? Is it woth it?

Here is the latest (and almoust ready) version of my sufgar-search-map, it would be cool if you could test it. Please read the readme for moe information (really).
In this map you have to search sugar, wich is hidden in chests, etc... The time-limit is at 100minutes.

It would be really cool if someone could tst it...

There's a stunning undersea canyon system just beneath it. Exploration has barely begun, but so far I've found huge columns of water falling into magma lakes, turning the surface into obsidian. :)

Very nice! Is this on the server?

If only! No, this is on creative singleplayer. Undersea construction is very difficult when you can drown. But if we had enough interest and a good location... :hmm:

perhaps a constuction bubble! glass would work well. Build a box on the ocean floor that goes up to the surface and you clear out the area with dirt or cobblestone.

thats what i meant by the construction bubble, however that takes a lot of resources. i meant scuba tanks like a slot on your inventory that prolongs your duration underwater before you drown

Yes, but it only took one person two days to make that in Creative. Should deffo try this on the server though. :)
You can use glass panes, iron bars, fences, or sugarcane to make "bubbles" underwater that allow you to breathe.
Fences work nicely, easy to place and easy to remove. Netherrack might be fastest to deflood the rooms, it breaks very quickly with even a stone pick, is plentiful at Nether Alpha and is almost entirely useless otherwise. We've had to melt most of what we get just to keep the stocks from overflowing.
