I propose the following scenario challenge, Flight to Jupiter with Saturn Sling Shot and return to Earth with gathering speed, which can support a Aerobraking.
Did anyone find a solution?

What is your definition of "can support aerobraking"? Since the standard DG is invulnerable, this will work. Just don't try it in the XR2. :)

Nice plan blixel.
Here's another one. Same flight duration at about 11.3 years. But instead of waiting 140 year to launch it leaves 2 years from now. Similar plan with minor differences. And instead of an encounter speed back at Earth of 17.8 km/sec it is a bit softer at 11.8 km/sec.

Great plan. I have to admit I didn't put any thought into the date. I flew a Grand Tour mission earlier this year and found that the 2153 date was the next time a Grand Tour was possible. So when I saw this thread, I knew that by using that date, I had a good date for Earth -> Jupiter -> Saturn already ... so I figured making a U-turn at Saturn and coming back to Earth would be easy enough. So I took the lazy route.

At any rate, I took a look at your plan. I see that it's also possible to sling Mars before getting back to Earth. I think you might be able to aerosling Mars to slow things down even more. Unfortunately I don't know how to set up aeroslings. I've only done it once, and dgatsoulis set up the aerosling part of the flight for me.
 
Here's a tweak on this scenario that has an aerosling at Mars. As always it's just a guess on the arrival and departure speeds for the aerosling. In this case the encounter speed is about 12km/s and the departure is about 8km/s and the resulting arrival at Earth is about as soft as one can get coming back from Mars. Question is would an encounter speed like that be flyable with the DG and is that 4km/s change of speed too great or too little for the time needed to be spent in the atmosphere? That's the art of aerosling scenarios.

The flight was to test the Hyperion, not yet published, but I think you can easily switch to Delta Glider
What is your definition of "can support aerobraking"? Since the standard DG is invulnerable, this will work. Just don't try it in the XR2. :)

I meant to aerobraking is less than 8 G, human tolerance limit.

Same flight duration at about 11.3 years. But instead of waiting 140 year to launch it leaves 2 years from now. Similar plan with minor differences. And instead of an encounter speed back at Earth of 17.8 km/sec it is a bit softer at 11.8 km/sec.

Try the Scenario, if the flight is successful, with your permission will include the scenario in a new addon Hiperion.

Perhaps best of 2153, I think that the ship can not this built in December 2015, blixel plan. :lol:

Have you done any tests? At what altitude and periapsis velocity does your ship produce 8 Gs ?

There is a similar positioning of Jupiter and Saturn in 2075. With the addition of a minor maneuver (~ 100 m/s) at Saturn periapsis you can reach Earth with an Encounter Vel of 11.08 km/s

Here are the pics of the 2075-EJSE TransX plan. Notice that you need a 109.2 m/s burn at stage 5, when you reach Saturn periapsis.

The encounter velocity of 11.08 km/s means that you will reach 15.7 km/s inside the atmosphere.

A "perfect" Hohmann transfer from Saturn to Earth, timed in such a way that you reach Earth at its perihelion, would have an encounter velocity of ~10.3 km/s which means ~15.2 km/s velocity at a periapsis altitude of 68 km.

I recommend an aerocapture maneuver at a slightly higher altitude (~ 70 km). The G load may go as high as 9+ Gs for a few seconds but it should be doable.

I think the discrepancy is due to mid-course corrections (in short navigation errors and adjustment paths) to be very eccentric orbit, the corrections are high, slow speed and change the orbit increasing the time of arrival. .
