Clever and innovative. Hope it works! Just hope it isn't an iphone! And thats one way to hide the bosses phone that he is on all the time while you are trying to speak to him.

There is a small debate (see: Ordinary mobile phones as cubesat transceivers?! ) regarding the use of phones in space as a communication tool with satellites. However, it looks like they can not be used for this purpose.

This experiment with the Android mobile phone try just to see if such a device can survive in space and can act as an on board computer for small cubesats (1-3 kg satellites).
