I just got into model rocketry, I have two 6-year old daughters and managed them to get hooked already! So far, I have been using ESTES rockets and engines, I'll probably tinker with them for few more months before moving up or getting certified for anything bigger.
Here's a video of our last trip:

Here's some more model rocketry fun with my daughters.
ESTES Red Rider, Executioner and Mammoth using standard motors.
ESTES Argent using composite motor.

Be sure to sign your daughters up with the NAR. There are scholarships that are available to them but only if they have been NAR members for a year and they have to write a paper. Get them started early, so by the time they are ready for college, it will be a piece of cake. Oh, and 1 of the scholarships in 2016 went to someone who was getting a degree in Political Science......

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea about their scholarships.

There's also an educator grant program... so once they get into HS, make sure their teachers find out about that. There are English teachers getting Grants to teach their students how to write proper technical papers, using rocketry as the science to write about.
