* !!! UPDATE OF V3 !!! *
More realistic earth atmosphere v3.5 from Axel D. for Orbiter 100606:
-Now with improved 3D-cloudeffect, up to 500 000km altitude!
-AtmFog has less density and new color too, earth looks less "milky" now from space

This is not a bugfix or replacement for my version 1.0 or 2.0, its just for Orbiter 2010. The blue of planet is appears here in a little bit other channel!
Version 1.0 and 2.0 are looking nice in Orbiter 2006, but bad in Orbiter 2010.
 
This is a more realistic view from earth in space and from surface. I compared it with actual real space photos from shuttle missions for creation this. Its only a simple change in earth.cfg file, but i did need many hours for getting the best result !!! I found the original colors wrong in Orbiter 2010, to mutch violett stuff and the clouds was looking to boring.

I tryed other realistic mods, but if i went to higher orbits or to another atmospheric planets i got strange glow rings and big fogs, which strong reduced my sight to surface. Now with this, u will enjoy the new view from earth and never miss it. Watch the sunrise !!!

Installation:
Simply copy the lines from "earth-atmo-dates" file and overwrite/delete the old lines in your orbiter earth.cfg file (to  find in Orbiter\config\ ). Backup the old earth.cfg before.
Be free to edit/experiment with the lines of atmospheric (color) parameters, if u dont like my settings. If u found a nicer setting then please write me or upload it to orbithangar!

Thanx Axel, the Earth Clouds are better with yours Earth.cfg Parameters. I have 230-220 fps in 400 km Orbit on Win7-64 and HD5870 Res.1777x1000x32. The Performance is good on my System.:thumbup:

Question. Can you make better .cfg for Titan and Venus?

Ofcourse i can, but i like Venus and Titan in my Orbiter. The problem is, we dont know how it looks in real, because never had seen this bodys live. Probe photos are most in false-color or low resolution. I installed better textures for both and it looks like the photos.
But i maked a Config for "Mare Infinitus", lokated in 55 Cancri system. This world looks phantastic now, mutch better than before. ALot better than earth, because his texture is more blue. Because the lower gravity he has a huge AtmHaze. I would release it, but i dont know about copyright. Orbiter itself is a freeware programm, and martin allowed us to create addons which make it better.
