Hey Developers? I got a request for something that I think will make the Dragonfly Even MORE useful!
As I build space stations, I kind of like the ability for them to move using RCS. So, naturally, I use the dragonfly. It works, but the maneuvers are slow because the dragonfly, even though it can compensate for mass, is not able to rotate something the size of the ISS, or similar without tremendous difficulty.
So I figured, there has to be a way for me to pick the central Hab module and have 4 or 6 dragonfly's work towards getting it to do what its autopilot, or man-pilot wants it to do?
More specific "code"
(you don't have to follow this, the code is more like guidelines anyway)
If done MFD way you should be able to pick your central vessel which will be the vessel that gets what it wants, then 4 to 6 slots for dragonfly's or other RCS enabled ships. The ships should then figure out how to use their individual systems as a group to assist the core vessel. -- These ships would have to be docked to the station somehow.
Making it possible to do all of this in the simulator, without leaving would be wonderful.
If done in another way, you have your core ship, then using a Universal Cargo Deck approach add as many RCS ships placing them through a Payload Manager where they could be off 100 Mega meters if you want and still apply it's assistance. This would probably be the easier approach, then you choose your core vessel and tell what autopilot to use.
Either way, anything similar to this would be great (the "code" was kind of a way to understand what I was asking, as I'm not a very good type-ist.)
