Well I'v never really done this, and I was wondering if anyone else ever did.

Consider the following scenarios:

While doing a long voyage to the outer planets, send other ships between the earth and the moon. Another example would be to have ten or so ships going to and from mars.

For some reason I've never actively used more then two ships in a scenario.

Does any one else?

Sort of. I've had a probe heading to venus and been flying other missions whilst it made it's way there.

I'm always afraid that I will miss something or crash.

One would need an alarm clock addon.
Where you can set several MJDs when time accel is being stopped and you get a message.

IMFD gives you an arrival date so just keep an eye on the clock, I try to arrange missions so I'm not landing on the moon at the same time as doing an aerobrake around Mars.

Quite outdated and only supports one threshold, but basically what is needed.

It does the job.

I multitasked like that before, Arrow was on its way from Jupiter and I was building a colony on the Moon. Unfortunately I didn't have shuttle A at the time, only DGIV. I did stop by with the Arrow and left a few crates in orbit, but they started scattering all over the place, which had to be collected with DG.

Other multitask methods, was on the way back from/to Jupiter, I was doing homework at the same time.

On my interplanetary flight preparation with the Descartes DSV, I had a XR-5 on the way to Moon, while I launched some rockets from earth to fuel Descartes in LEO.
It is quite possible, but garyw mentioned, you should have the clock in sight. ;)

This thread gave me some inspiration to create a new MFD:

It should be more useful for multitaskers than WakeupMFD. (and is actively maintained)
