My daughter's XR2 and XR5 repaints

That 2nd image is totally worth posting in the Orbiter Screenshot Thread!

BTW, Siberian, mind if you would kindly upload the skins to O-H so we can take a better look at them? :)

If people love it so much, why don't you upload it to Orbit Hangar?

You really have to work on how you take even suspected critisism if you are ever going to be a succesful addon dev.

These are really very nice. It's good to see non-biased and non-straight-jacketed skins for a change. They're happy and cartoony looking. Bright and colorful. Not a stodgy ROTM paintkit skin.

Perhaps she will make the next "Wunala Dreaming".. Is she the youngest add-on developer to date?

I bet you only like these skins because they were made by a small child. If this was made by a teen/adult and uploaded on OrbitHangar you would rate it one star, I just know it.

I can't help but feel like Tiger's daughter acts more mature than you.

We need to put the personal criticisms aside and enjoy the skins. If you don't like a skin, just don't download it. Crap.. I would be wasting gigs of valuable disk real-estate if I downloaded every orbiter add-on.

I am selective about what I install and so should you. It needn't be any more complex than that.

Such is life.. Get over it.
Complaining about it isn't helping your cause. Whatever it may be.

This is beginning to remind me of the hate-mail some of those NASA sponsored "name-the-rover" contests generate. I don't think some of the e-mails were made public, but I assure you they were not in good taste.

They are generally more creative at the core and base of the artwork. They have less preconceived notions about what should be and what should not.

Also, a GRUP is going to be held to a higher standard than a 10-year old.
GRown UPs also find it "cute" to have the little ones do things like this anyways.

hahaha! I got to typing other messages at the same time and seem to have missed finishing this. That will suffice I believe.

One thing for sure is that these would make great rescue vehicles, perfect for retrieving stranded developers stuck in a bad orbit. Visible under all lighting conditions.

And Pinkie Pie/ Fluttershy aren't?

Those skins are based an a very niche TV show that only a handful of people on this forum like. These skins are completely original which is why many people here are more apt to praise them. Anyway, let's not further go off topic.

I don't know. I hadn't initially thought along those lines when I looked over the MLP skins.

The colors on Flora and Stella seem to be a bit more saturated and more fluorescent. Comical and happy, absurdly fun. Just the thing to lift the spirits of a downed crew. The day-glo pink on the XR5 stabilizers is just crazy nuts! It makes me think about making a Pringles can SRB or something equally ridiculous like a two-liter Orange Crush E.T..

I have neither the time nor the inclination, want, or desire; perhaps someone into making skins would care to do so.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I'm not sure that a grown-up has made something as absurdly ridiculous as these. Let us see what kinds of ratings they'd get *IF* they made one. Till then we can only guess.

Meantime, I'd like to do a Dell / Microsoft / Intel skin. For that matter, why not an Adobe Photoshop branded paint. Or an old-style Apple Computer logo, the one like they used in the 1970's .. Hell, why not a comic of the good doctor himself - smok'n a joint or something.

But, alas, like I said earlier I have absolutely zero talent for doing this sort of thing.

Depends on personal taste. For some yes, they're cute and for others they're not. MLPs are not "stadard candle of cuteness" because such standard doesn't exist.

Maybe it would be rated 1 star but that's irrevelant now - they've been made by child. It's normal that you're expecting more from grown ups than from children.

Please enjoy them or ignore them as other people enjoy or ignore your MLP skins.
