My first Asimov

A few days ago, I realised that I AM a space nut... who hasn't read a single Asimov book. My copy of "Foundation" has arrived and I'm going to read it when I go to bed, that's about thirteen hours from now.

I have just finished reading Robert A. Heinlein's book "Farmer in the sky" witch in itself is a pretty good book.

I'm gonna go back to bed, I'm tired.

Oh, Foundation is great! Make sure to read the whole series, up to Foundation and Earth. Then read the first two, Prelude to Foundation and Forward the Foundation!

Asimov is one of my favorites as well. After your finished with the foundation series you may want to give I,Robot a try. It's a collections of his Robot stories. Very good. Needless to say the Book has virtually nothing to do with the movie other than the title. Or at least in my opinion.

I agree they are great, I almost got the whole series and have read almost all his science fiction. Wouldn't it be great to make orbiter sci-fi scenaros bsed on the foundation series? Probably would have to ask permission from publishers though. Enjoy Asimov, he was a great author!

"Nemesis" is by far one of Asimov's greatest books !

My first Asimov novel was "The Currents of Space". It's a minor work set against the beginning of Trantor's rise, but it's a good one with some whodunnit elements and some cloak-and-dagger intrigue and romance sorely lacking in later works.
