No idea, but I know my speed!
Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting a new monitor to replace my unspeakably old current one. Budget is around £300. Current contenders are:
Eizo Foris FS2333

Asus VG248QE

BenQ XL2420T

The top one has better image quality but the lower two have better response time, refresh rate etc. It will mostly be used for gaming, so I suppose the issue is just how noticeable are things such as refresh rate, and is that enough to warrant the lower picture quality?

Thanks for any advice!

Will

I went for one of these:

I hate 16:9 1920x1080, and I think the extra 120 vertical pixels make a lot of difference (mainly for documents, but also for games).

It does a pretty good job for me. My laptop can't chuck out a big enough frame rate such that refresh rate becomes an issue. I'm not a big gamer, but it has handled Orbiter, Fsx, HalfLife and Portal with aplomb - I haven't noticed any visual issues when gaming.

Hope this helps.
