No enoguh oxygen for interplanetary trip with DGIV

I've been trying the "Martian Bound VEEP" senario from DGIV. There's just no enough oxygen for me to complete my transx plan. Is there any other ways accomplish the mission without editing the senario?

Go to the DGIV configuration and put the oxygen level to "A huge trip to Jupiter."

How long is your trip by the way?

The mission is to travel from Titan to the two satellite of Mars, then land of a base on Mars itself. I just ran out of oxygen in the middle of the trip. May be I should use a hyperbola orbit across the sol system to Mars instead of an elliptical one?

Do trial and error and see which one is best. If you still do not have enough oxygen put it to unlimited because that is a very, very, very big trip.

Load only the pilot with full fuel and O2 reserves.
