Hi! My Name's Gargamel, and I just installed Orbiter! :hello:

Used search function, but did not find anything there (OK I gave up after page 8).

Install seemed to go ok (installed via .zip)

I can open the "menu" screen, and Any scenario I pick brings up a blank white screen. I see files being loaded on my second monitor, then they disappear. The white screen persists and won't do anything. Been about 15 minutes now, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to budge.

I can't find a manual to RTFM, and I read all the FAQ's I can find.

Intel C2D 1.6g
XP sp3
4 GB Ram
1.8tb Raid 5 drive
Nvidia 7600GTX 512mb
Dual 22" monitors
Nice Tall black shiny case.

Any help?

Muahahahahaha. That was fast!

The forums always help. LOL

It was set to spawn on my second monitor, yet the window was spawning on the primary. I set it to primary, and Voila!

Now Onto normal Noob stuff.... like figuring out how to unpause!

Have you got any installed add-ons? Are you sure EVERY scenario does that?

I don't know, try disconnecting the second monitor and see what happens.

Edit: Oops. I always am too late :ripped:

Edit 2:

Ctrl-P :)

First, have you tried running it windowed?

second, have you tried falling back to a single monitor configuration? Obviously you'll probably eventually want to be able to run it with both monitors operating, but confirming whether or not it works with a single monitor setup will tell us where the problem might be.

A blank white screen is something I've seen before with at least one graphics bug (brought on by alt-tabbing).

Also, have you tried running Obriter_ng with OGLAClient?

That was actually the problem. The "window" was spawning on the primary screen, but the graphics were trying to spawn on the secondary.

I switched it to full screen mode, and everything spawned on the secondary.

I then switched the monitors in the video settings, and switched it back to windowed, and it works fine!
