what is fsx? it sounds interesting. i might pick up a copy and join u guys

Just make sure you have a moderate PC. Otherwise, the lag will kinda ruin the experience for ya.
Also, I will need you guys to help me for Luna. THe final scene will involve the shuttle falling short during reentry and having to land at Orlando. For comedic value, it will show tower broadcasting the news to several different aircraft, including a formation of F-18s/T-45s.If you want to record some shots from your perspective, that would be swell.

all of my rating are above 5 exept my CPU speed wich is 4.1

i should be able to run it fine right?

EDIT: ill pick it up + acceleration tomarrow if i know 1 thing. does it NEED a joystick or can i use the keyboard+mouse... if not il get a joystick soon

You should be able to run it with that. You can use a mouse+keyboard, but it's a lot harder than using a joystick.

ok i got it all setup... ur right flying with mouse and keyboard is damn near impossible. gonna head out and get a joystick. do u guys use mics when u fly together? if so does the game have built in mic support?

There are very good lessons in the game. Go to "Learning Center", and the last tab will be "Lessons." This is the best way to learn to fly in FSX.

Yes, we use mics. Yes, the game has built-in support for radios.

Or is that another one, because the Iris is crap. FSX really needs a decent F-22 Raptor.

I'm not going to pay for an addon. I pulled this from Simviation. It's all right--the virtual cockpit has some issues, and there's no thrust vectoring, but it could keep up with Astrosammy's Concorde (which looks like a 747 because I don't have the concorde...) while the F/A-18 couldn't.

I can see why it's ex-payware. Had I paid for that, I would've been extremely disappointed.

This is why I'm hesitant to buy any planes. FSD, for example, has a C337 that I'd kind of like to pick up, but clearly payware is just as much hit-or-miss as freeware...

went to best buy and got an attack 3 joystick. mapped the rudder and elevators to the hat buttons. are there any other commands that i really should have mapped to it? i got throttle and brakes but i cant really think of anything else to put on the last 5... also should i map anything to the trigger?

as an afterthaught, is there a way to make the rudder return to the default position after i let go of the button? it gets annoying how it sticks to where i left it until i manually move it back. and then it alwayse seems to be off by just a little bit
