I just had my first flight. It lasted about 2 minutes:rofl:. I got 3 pictures. Epsilon and someone else was their. Set the graphics to extra low so it wouldn't lag at all.
I only got epsilon the other person was a bit behind.

This was as close as i got to epsilon.

Just had a fun flight with DanM.
I took off first. At this point we were trying to talk but we had to use chat

I took off

Not long after he was in the air

We were finding it hard to get stable

Just after that last picture i crashed into him. Then he blew his engine. Then i changed plane

Engine not working at this time

I changed back into this plane

At this point the airport was in sight

Took a break while DanM battled for his life:rofl:

It ended like this

Another fun flight with DanM. This time it went allot better.

We were going to land at this airport.

I had a hard landing destroying my left wing

We both taxied away. Me wondering what was wrong with my wing

We chose different planes and i took off while DanM tried to get his engine working.

I went around and tried to land but the runway was too slippy.

This was the last picture. DanM was going for a touch and go in a field.

I have successfully communicated using the built in fsx voice comms, as have several others. Make sure that the settings in the fsx sound settings are all correct, and make sure you're using the correct "broadcast" key.

By default, yes I think so. Check the control settings to be sure-- you want the one that's "broadcast voice", NOT "broadcast voice to all."

Does "transmit voice" only transmit to your radio frequency?

Yes, the server is set to use "realistic" voice transmission, using radio frequencies. As long as you haven't changed your radio freq since joining the server, it should be on the default of 118.75. If everyone stays on that freq, you can hear each other.


I've had issues in the past with using the "transmit to all" feature...having it go via the aircraft radios is more reliable as far as I've seen.

You're having trouble speaking or hearing people or both? Does your mic work in other apps?

Both, and my mic works fine, I just tested it in Sound Recorder.

I can talk to other people in different servers when i hold down Shift+Caps. It dosnt work when i only use caps lock.

I read through the logs and saw that you were having trouble hearing people, Dan. Can you check the FSX Sound Settings and see what "Voice" is set to under "Windows sound devices?" If it's on "<Default Voice Device>", sound might be going someplace you don't expect it to--manually change it to whatever sound output device you want to use to hear people.
