Are any orbinauts astronauts or cosmonauts, or are we all just armchair astronauts(good enough by far)?

I think it would be awesome to have an orbinaut compare Orbiter with the real deal.

I'd like to see one play orbiter in orbit.

I seem to remember a thread about some NASA shuttle astronauts who were introduced to Orbiter, and they seemed to be fairly impressed. Don't really have time to hunt down that particular thread.

It's a nice thought, but I doubt it:(
They don't have nearly as much time on their hands as we do:lol:

Didn't that Italian astronaut have something to do with orbiter, particularly the Orbiter Forum Italia team?

I think Master Yoda is a former astronaut (no, the one with the donator tag, not the real one :P)

I think Orbinaut Pete is involved with the ESA

no, I think he is in the ESA...i may be wrong

I had a business meeting with David Braben (who created ELITE) quite a while ago, to discuss MMORPG services. Does that count? :-D

There was a Swedish guy who participated in the ESA's vomit comet program on the old M6 forum, but he hasn't been around for a long time.

Is it bad of me that, when you said "armchair astronauts," I had a desire to strap rocket motors to an armchair and attempt to reach space? :shifty:

You mean that in his signature?

No, he's not Timothy Peake.

How should he find the time to write all that nice spaceflight news articles as astronaut? :P

From Pete's profile:
My ultimate dream & goal in life is to become an Astronaut!

I think that's perfectly normal, but the stresses on the structure of said armchair would not be enough to cope with the...oh god kill me now
