We took a mobile flight simulator to Maker Faire 2013. It ran Orbiter 2010 and had a modified keyboard for the spaceship commands. We were able to introduce many adults and kids to Orbiter, including a high school physics teacher who wants to use it in her class.
Hi kamaz, glad you like it.
We use a trackball because there is no room for a mouse/mouse pad.
The flight simulator as pictured is configured for the Science Day Camp for kids. In that camp, one kid is the pilot and the other is the navigator. All rotation/translation controls are on the right side for the pilot. The trackball is on the left side for the navigator so he can set the MFDs.
