Software Orbiter Crash (log included)

I was watching an orbiter playback when all the sudden it error'ed out. When I went back to watch it, as well as trying to continue from my last quick save, Orbiter keeps erroring out. Here is the log

Have you activated TrackIR in the Launchpad modules page?

Yes he has

But it seems that he did not have installed the TrackIR (3rd party) software:

TrackIR module not found.

So there are two options:

• Either deselect TrackIR at Orbiter Launchpad (Modules)
• Or install TrackIR software/drivers/whatever

As I don't have any experience with TrackIR, I prefer the first option

Disable FirstPerson and Map3DMFD modules and check if it crashes then. If it doesn't, enable one of them and check again.

None of these tips corrected the problem. I was 5 hours deep into a mission and just made a casual quicksave, nothing out of the ordinary. My computer abruptly shuts down when it overheats and I got a quicksave in just before it shutdown on me. But now all my quicksaves, not just my latest, produce this error. All scenarios produce this error.

If your computer is overheating it's a hardware cooling problem and not an Orbiter problem. Are you playing on a laptop? Are you sure it's overheating? Some laptops are not cooled sufficiently to sustain 100% load (although in theory they should be). Sometimes blowing the dust out with a can of compressed air helps, although that can be tricky with a laptop depending on how it is vented.

Yes I'm sure its overheating, and due to the fact that oribeter is erroring out its obviously a orbiter problem, yes the laptop overheats and shuts down to prevent itself from frying, but now orbiter is erroring out, has nothing to do with the laptop man, false conclusions

THIS is a false conclusion. If Orbiter was working correctly and it ceased to after an abnormal shutdown - this is a 99% chance for hardware problem and 60% chance for file allocation table/file integrity error (numbers are approximated from my own experience with computers). Try to perform disk scan with auto errors fix (without surface test) and see if it helps.

The people above you are trying to help you, so don't be so negative.

First of all, you do have a problem here. Your laptop is getting too hot and prevents itself from damaging by shutting itself down. So it isn't cooled propely for the things that you're doing.

Second, can you post the quicksave scenario so we can have a look at it? Maybe there's someting wrong in there.

Third, try to copy and paste the quicksaves to another folder and then delete the originals. Then load a random scenario and quicksave it. Exit Orbiter and load the quicksave tovsee if it works.
