IS it just me, or does messing aound with orbitor in the airport seem kinda weird? Just got done watching apollo 13, and no im doing these scenarios which seem to put people off.... ah well.

that when I fell that my orbit ecc is not at a desired value and they slow back away

Welcome to the forum fellow Oregonian! Playing anything other than solitaire in the airports will get you branded as a crazy. I've flown flightsimulators inside PDX before and everyone around me must of thought I was nuts.

I do quite a bit of travelling by air myself. When there are delays or long waits between flights, a (new and tiny!) laptop I got myself, with Orbiter and VC++ installed, plus free airport wireless services, keep what would otherwise be boredom tolerable. Have not noticed any funny looks yet, but then I am probably too absorbed to detect them...

Better said, glad I am not the only one who does this!!!

If I would own a laptop, you would see me fly the Space Shuttle while traveling - i have already annoyed my fellow travelers by playing Atari 2600 games...and when my daughter discovered the emulator, she was addicted, draining the battery of my mobile phone faster than I ever could.

I was in Subway about a month back and in my 5 to 10 seconds of indecisiveness, the customer beside me made a suggestion of a sandwich, I said 'sure' and it began. As the sandwich was filled with the items /toppings she grew more and more displeased with me not choosing the toppings she was telling me to pick.

The point of that story? In my years I have found that no matter what you do, someone won't like something about it, even if their not impacted by it at all :)

I guess I'm just old enough not to care if my harmless actions anger some 'ol grump!

*snip* Never mind.

I once played MS fight sim while on a flight once. It was amusing to myself and those around me to be flying a 767 while flying IN a 767...

x2 if you fly the same route
GODLIKE if you crash it!

I have 4 installations of Orbiter on my travel laptop as well as X-Plane in my i-Pod touch (Pretty good simulator). Orbiter always catches the interest of other passengers, specially the shuttle. Enroute from New Mexico to Massachusetts while I was flying a Cirrus jet in X-Plane, a pair of Air Force Reserve F-16 pilots were seated behind me. They liked it and we had a great conversation!
