I just searched ebay and found a 3meter long HDMI cable is only £1-2. I think i will go for that option

HDMI covers sound. And you found an HDMI cable for only a pound? I would be a be cautious with that......not all HDMI cables are created equal......

My last set of cables were......significantly...more than 1 pound.

about 75 dollars US....around there. Dont remember exactly. It was about a year ago.

75 dollars for a cable!!!??? I thought no more than 10. Type 3 meter HDMI into ebay and it comes up with quite a few for under £10

Like I said, not all cable are created equal.

10 pounds...ok, that I believe. 1 pound.....something isnt right. The pins are messed up or the cable got kinked or something.
