After I installed the DirectX9 client and DirectX9 all sounds still work fine except the mp3 playback. I am seeing the following errors in OrbiterSound_Log.txt:
Attempting to load Mp3...
MP3 Error->CLSID_FilterGraph
Mp3 Info: Trying AsfReader
MP3 Error->CLSID_FilterGraph
Mp3 error->unable to load mp3!
MP3 ERROR-> unable to load= sound\mp3\calm-spaces.mp3
My System: XUbuntu16.04 with Wine 1.8 and PlayOnLinux.
All Sounds and mp3 playback worked fine BEFORE switching to DirectX9
